Messing with the Nexus one day, I started going through the menus in the people app and found that I could transfer my contacts list via BT. When I bought the Samsung, I was wondering how I would get my entire contacts list over to this phone because it can't connect via Google or sync on my computer to any apps. A week before I bought the Nexus 4, I went to Walmart and bought a cheap $29 Samsung ST phone. ![]() I still have an iPhone 4 but recently got a Nexus 4 as my main phone. There's no reason for that.īT file transfers between two capable phones can be the best thing ever. Rather than opening things up and then seeing SDFGSDGSDF34SDFIEUREU for one of your artists, in an effort to obfuscate things. Real computers have a real filesystem and have a place where you can access the mp3s you own, inside a music folder. But the lack of a filesystem makes actually using a tablet as a regular computer a no-go for me. There are ridiculous things about Android too. Android uses a filesystem, and it looks like it's selling just fine to me. That said, there are downsides to Android, but in regards to the filesystem, Apple has complicated matters rather than simplified them. Most-no, make that all-people would, after 25 years of standard patterns of computer usage-look for the folder where photos are stored, and want to drag them somewhere. Regarding transferring photos, it is odd. If you have a pdf, you can read it in iBooks, but to read that same document in GoodReader, you'd need to create another copy. It completely screws up your work flow not to have a filesystem and results in duplicate documents. I love apple, and i love more the industrial design and quality of their devices, but ios was good in 2007, now in 2013 is a poor and stale os, i'm sorry if fanboys get hurt by saying this, but if you think ios is the "world's most advanced os " as apple claims, you are blind.Īpple is being completely stubborn about not having a file system.Įveryone, and I mean everyone, knows how to use a file system these days. ![]() Can anyone explain to me why? And if anyone knows some simple method to transfer files, as my father's s3 ? My old suckberry could transfer files via bluetooth, i just cannot understand this stupidity. ( always talking wirelessly)Why the hell bluetooth transfer is not supported between devices? Why is so complicated to do simple tasks? I thought apple slogan was to make things easy in a simple way, but no, something so simple as transferring a damn file to a computer ( even a mac lol) is impossible, unless you jailbreak. Okey, i'm not a new apple user whatsoever, however i just can't understand why on this earth is so complicated to just transfer a simple file or photo from my iphone/ipad to my mac.
